Earlier, The Move

Hakukuu was once a general in the army. At the time, descendants of the Heroes, the only ones who could pilot legendary Zoids known as the Shining and Sparkling Beasts were almost killed in the same earthquake while living in the city. It was decided that the children, just babies at the time, should never be raised together to ensure such a thing never happened again. So one was kept in the city and raised with the fate of sealing the Bio Zoids, while the other was to live out a life in isolation, never made aware of these events or responsibilities. Hakukuu took the youngest child, Midori, and moved far into the wilderness, where he and others who were fatigued by war established a quiet village.


Chapter 1, The Commando Squad

Renowned as the Zoid pilot of Zoid pilots, Hakukuu was one of many recluses living in the distant village of Kageri, renowned as a lord. When the village received visitors in the form of the Jin Commando Squad, they met to discuss the growing severity of the Bio Zoid problem outside the village. His foster daughter, Midori, who piloted a Liger Blue named Souga elected to join the group on their journey, even against Hakukuu's wishes. Nevertheless, he gave Jin a letter of introduction, which was to be delivered to another village so that they might gain more Metal Zi weapons for the unit's Zoids.
