Story Information
Pilots:	Introduction:
Sona	Empressa is the prized Zoid of Ya Han, piloted by no other than Princess Sona herself in Zoids Generations. Based on the Saint Gale, its been retrofitted with numerous exclusive parts including a shield gatling and a great sword, as well as feathered wings. ^[1]

- Concept Art

Empressa was a custom model kit submitted by Keizo Sugimoto to Dengeki Hobby Magazine during Zoids Generations' run. The segment known as Zi-Forum showed off fan-submitted works, and even gave them a chance to have their submissions featured in the main part of the story, and both Empressa and Sona got featured as story characters.

- Military History

Chapter 4, Investigation

Under orders from the king, Sona's group met up with the knights to form a special task force for the purpose of investigating the recent rumors of Bio Zoids. Just as they were to meet up, they were attacked by a swarm of them. This confirmed not only that the Bio Zoid rumors were true, but that they'd already reached Ya Han. Empressa fought the enemies in the sky, tackling a Bio Raptor Gui, while her comrades fought on the ground.

After the Jin Commando Squad showed up and helped to scare the Bios away, Empressa took chase, hoping to follow them back to a central nest. Even in the dark the Zoid followed them by the sound of their footsteps, having precious few flares on board. In the darkness of the night the group was attacked by another Bio Zoid. Her light illuminated just enough for her to see the large beast attacking its smaller brethren, but when the flares ran out, they could only listen as the screams faded one by one. In daylight, they discovered a Bio Zoid graveyard, full of bodies with their cores removed. Empressa and the others returned to Ya Han to report these most unusual findings.

Chapter 8, The Final Battle

Sona joined the final battle along with her Zoid, Empressa. Their presence was particularly important as the main group, who'd be tackling the largest threats on the ground had been plagued by flying Bio Zoids in their last attempt.

- Notable Facts

In Zoids Generations, Empressa's ability to control multiple BLOX cores, an ability originally from the Lord Gale is considered lost technology. Ya Han itself is famous for its use of BLOX technology, making Empressa a suiting commander machine.

- Flash of Dawn "Burenbaster"

Flash of Dawn "Burenbaster": 「暁の閃光」ビューレンバステル

This great sword is the prized weapon of Empressa. Composed of Metal-Zi, it's capable of hacking through enemy Bio Zoids, which is something Empressa uses even against aerial opponents such as Bio Raptor Guis. Because of its location, attached to the arm, it has an excellent range of motion. Though Empressa is well armed, this is the only weapon it has that's actually capable of killing a Bio Zoid.

- Flare Ammo

Flare Ammo

Empressa is known to carry limited supplies of flare ammunition, which as the name implies, allows the Zoid to light up a sizable area by firing a flash flare into the sky.

- Gatling Gun

Gatling Gun: ガトリング砲

A gatling gun is attached to Schutzgott, the Free Round Shield on the left arm. Like other gatlings, it can be assumed it has a high rate of fire, with six different barrels unloading ammunition in rapid succession. Because of the location, attached to the left arm, it also has an excellent range of motion.

- Large-Scale Laser Gun

Large-Scale Laser Gun: 大型レーザー砲

The Large-Scale Laser Gun is attached to the top of Burenbaster, turning it into a gun blade of sorts. Like the great sword, its attachment point allows for a great range of motion and, as the name implies, it fires energy rounds.

- "Afterglow of Twilight" Schutzgott

"Afterglow of Twilight" Schutzgott: 「黄昏の残光」シュッツゴット

The "Afterglow of Twilight", Schutzgott, is a large Free Round Shield installed to the left arm. You may recognize this as quite similar to the design used in the Geno Breaker. It's unclear how similar it is in lore, but on the Breaker, this shield was strong enough to withstand even heavy bombardments from Zoids such as the Dibison. In this setting, it'd be invaluable for handling snapping, metal-shredding Bio Zoids, holding them back long enough for Burenbaster to be brought into play. Like the other weapons, being attached to the arm gives a wide range of motion.
