Tobizaru is a specially-modified Hammer Rock, piloted by a shinobi who emphasizes speed and agility in this mysterious Zoid. It has a complex sensor array and fights in the cover of darkness.

Chapter 5, Fateful Encounter
Tobizaru clashed with the Rez Wolf when their pilots crossed paths. Though this seemed like a sportsmanly battle it was soon interrupted by Souga. While Tsukamoto, Tobizaru's pilot was happy to take on this new opponent, the battle was ordered to cease by Jin. After attending a meeting about Bio Zoids, Tsukamoto and Tobizaru then escorted Princess Sona back to the capital to report her findings.
Chapter 6, The Cursed Forest
When Midori found herself in over her head against the Shinobi Saix and its army of Baratz, Tobizaru jumped in to clash with the stealthy cheetah and help soak some of the hits. They fought fiercely until the battle was once again called off by Jin, who recognized this strange Zoid, at least based on Seki's word.
Chapter 8, The Final Battle
Tsukamoto showed up with Tobizaru to the final battle, where pilots from all across the land came to fend off the Bio Zoids.

- Tobizaru faced the Rez Wolf for 3 years in a row in the Zoids Swordsmanship Division of the capital of Nakato's tournament.

- Cannon
Not given a distinctive name, Tobizaru also has a generic cannon that replaces the dart gun. This weapon is depicted when Tobizaru is fused with Eika, though there's nothing stating it to be explicitly tied to the transformation, as there's just not enough media depicting Tobizaru either way. That being said, the cannon's also designed to fold in the middle, allowing the front half to fold backwards over the top for a more compact form.
- Combat Claws
Tobizaru has optional combat claws that can extend over the left wrist, allowing for quick slash attacks even if it's disarmed.
- Dart Gun
Tobizaru has a dart gun on the left shoulder, though it isn't specified exactly what the darts do. It's normally the weapon equipped when Tobizaru is fighting on its own, but it's sometimes replaced with the cannon.
- Hammer Knuckle x2
While Tobizaru has a large number of specialized equipment items it's also not without the Hammer Rock's traditional fighting option: pummeling enemies with its fists. It is, after all, still a gorilla.

This long-handled ninja sword is Tobizaru's primary weapon. Though its been painted black, the shine of Metal-Zi can't be hidden, so it glints in the moonlight even as the Zoid tries to hide. (Yes I know this image is decidedly not black- It was said to be black in the story text, but the custom model kit differs on some details.)
- Shingan System
The Shingan System is a series of advanced sensors packed into two unique components on the back. The sensors are normally well-protected by thick armor on the front, but when active this armor flips back. The housing is rehashed from a Flexible Booster Unit.
