- Episode 31: The Three Guards

Summary

             

 The Three Guards, highly-respected Saber Tiger pilots are summoned back from their retirement by Prozen, ordered to capture the 'imposter' Rudolph. They challenge Bang and his group to a series of 1 on 1s in the Valley of Heroes, a massive arena that's been the site of legendary Zoid battles for generations.

- Notable Facts


  • The City of Wind was said to hold many special memories for former Emperor Zeppelin, whose estate was even located there. Rudolph remembered it for its windmills. It was destroyed by Glenn's Border Line Security Unit from the Empire, which had been taking advantage of the lack of supervision to bully villages. They burned it out of frustration after discovering that the Emperor's 'former estate' was just a basic colony.

  • The scene of the episode's main battle is the Valley of Heroes. In ancient times, hundreds of Zoid warriors would pass through the area. Long before the war between the Empire and the Republic, countries would each send their strongest pilots to fight there in a competition of skill and endurance.

  • The Three Guards retired years ago and moved to a remote wilderness.

  • The Saber Tigers piloted by the Three Guards are referred to as an older generation of the Zoid.
