- Description
A system developed by the Imperial Army that converts a Zoid's core energy into power for its weapons. Zoids can be equipped with a variety of Core Drive Weapons (CDW) by using the common, standardized back rail.
This Core Drive Weapon (CDW), the Twin Pile Bunker was developed to further enhance the Burning Liger's close-range abilities. Utilizing focused ions converted from core energy, it can fire the Impulse Piles on both sides, penetrating enemy armor. When the Impulse Piles fire, the target is shattered by the ultrasonic vibrations.
Pile Holder:
A device that holds the Impulse Piles. Convergent ions are compiled within, then released to generate the ejection force of the Impulse Piles.
Conversion Engine:
An engine that converts internal core energy into focused ions.
Core Energy Comression Cylinder:
A cylinder that compresses core energy so that it can be discharged all at once.
Focused Ion Activation Turbine:
A turbine for activating focused ions.
Slide Valve:
A device used to lower internal pressure from the blowback caused by the Impulse Pile firing.
Heat Dissipation Fins:
Fins used to release heat that has built up inside the Pile Holder.
Impulse Pile:
An ultra-high-precision pile. When fired, it uses ultrasonic vibrations from focused ions to pulverize its target.
Purge Trigger:
An external release switch used to store and remove the weapons from the CDW rail on the back.
