The Geno Saurer Raven has received its official webpage, showing off concept art and a ton of its features. The kit is scheduled to release in February 2026 for 7,700 Yen. In this version of the kit, the gun barrel effects are gold and the particle effect is purple. The armor matches the anime colors, and the kit comes with a wire for the arm to recreate the famous launching wire arm from the show. As expected, it also comes with a Raven and Shadow figure.
T-Spark has announced a new Patlabor x Zoids collab kit, a rehash of the previous Hunter Wolf Metropolitan Police Department Version, this time as Unit 2! This kit seems redesigned to better match the manga style, with modified facial armor, sloping back ears, new decals, and a more defined nose. The gold from the previous kit has been changed to silver. Pre-orders are opening in August.
So I'm sure like me, many of you have been wondering about the manga that was announced a while ago as part of the Patlabor x Zoids crossover. Well, turns out it's beginning in August, as a part of the Hero's Bunko publication! I'm unclear at the moment on if this is going to be a serialized comic or if it's releasing as a book (it seems like most of Hero's Bunko is books?) but we'll find out more later, I'm sure.
We've gotten new information on the Evangelion collaboration kits (promo image) from Synergenex, starting with Test Type-01, scheduled to be released in February 2026 for 6,600 yen! Both units come with an Entry Plug to replace the pilot. The unit comes with a purple cockpit hatch to match Eva Unit 1 as well as a black one to better match the Xeno Rex's styling. It has custom designed armor and weapons matching the unit as well!
Within the vast geofront beneath Tokyo-3, a spherical metallic lifeform mysteriously glowed and pulsated. It was discovered along with other metallic skeletons deep in the Antarctic strata, and was placed under the care of the special agency NERV. NERV designated this metallic lifeform as a "Core", analyzed it, and due to its semi-permanent energy generation, planned to repurpose it into a weapon to destroy the Angels. During further research, it was also discovered that the Core's unique pulse pattern resonated only with specific individuals of Evangelion, decisive general-purpose humanoid weapons. This was seen as an effective means of countering the Angels. NERV appropriated replacement parts from the resonating Evas, restoring the metallic lifeform to its original form, dubbing it the Xeno Rex, a decisive general-purpose beast-type weapon.

The red Test Type-02 is releasing at the same time for the same cost. It features the Pencil Roc, a 6-shot gun inspired from the referenced Eva, as well as other weapons inspired by Evangelion, like the Pallet Rifle and Progressive Knife, which unfolds from the shoulder towers. Like Type-01, it comes with two cockpit covers, a red one to match the Eva, and a translucent orange one to match the Xeno Rex.
The HMM Salamander has finally opened for pre-orders! This kit is scheduled to release in December for 29,700 yen. This kit has an insane amount of articulation, able to mimic bird-of-prey poses. It has separate missiles on the back and includes attachment parts to allow you to equip the Gojulas Cannons. These will be releasing in December for 5,940 yen. If you pre-order the Salamander through Kotobukiya Direct you'll also receive gold pilots (7) and decals based on the OJR Salamander. If you want to see more of the articulation, check out the special live stream below.
The Shield-D-Prime box art has been revealed! Hobby Watch also posted an interview with the staff who worked on the kit, giving some insights into its development as well as some interesting concept art, showing the Blade Liger that was considered before they landed on the Shield Liger.
A second collaboration with Seiko has been announced, this time producing a quality watch featuring the Geno Saurer! I feel like the design comes across cleaner and more readable. Each watch is engraved with the imperial emblem of Guylos and a serial number (1 of 300). The watch is scheduled to release January 1st for 66,000 yen.
T-Spark has been hyping up the release of their first Metamor Verse figure, Ao Kiriyama and the Blade Liger Buddy Armor! This figure is scheduled to release in January 2026 for 14,850 yen, and already has an official web page. The price was a bit of a shock to many fans, even those who collect other similar figures from Kotobukiya. Nevertheless, it looks like the figure is good quality, and the accompanying Blade Liger is adorable! (Many of us Zoids fans would love to buy just the Liger separate, haha). T-Spark Official posted pictures of the different ways the armor can be worn and some extra photos. People who order from Kotobukiya or Takara Tomy Mall will also receive an option part to give Ao pink hair.
Its been such a fun ride following this traveling Popup Tour! The Hokkaido venue featured an Emperor's Holiday episode themed set, along with the Dibison. There's also now a Fukui Loft exhibit running, which is great timing with the Fukui Dinosaur Museum collaboration. Fukui features the Death Stinger and a large dinner scene of Prozen, Hiltz, Raven, Rease, and the Organoids and Zoids. Some goods from previous venues will also be resold at this event. A fun meal and archeology theme art was also revealed, further celebrating the Dinosaur Museum timing! Last but not least, the official X account posted pictures of the venue. The tour is planned to finally come to a close in Okinawa in late August.
Hobby Japan web has posted some more Zoids articles for public viewing! First off is the RMZ Molga from the August 2025 issue. Second up is the RMZ Helcat from the same issue, with a delightfully spooky looking diorama image. Both of these kits are great, and I'd highly recommend them.
Takara Tomy Arts is working on a new set of gacha toys, featuring boxes attached to keychains with the box art of various Zoids products throughout the years! These are scheduled for October 2025, though we don't currently have much information on them.
A brand new Zoids Wild recolor has been announced! This one came out of left field, but the new Fukui-Raptor is on sale at the Fukui Prefecture Dinosaur Museum, where sales began on May 31st. Their X account posted a grayscale shot of the prototype, though it's overall the same as the normal Zoids Wild Raptor, with colors swapped to fit the 'bone' theme that many of these dino exhibit limiteds use. As I'm sure you've guessed, this Zoid was chosen to celebrate the Fukuiraptor, the "Thief of Fukui", which was an early cretaceous species first discovered in a quarry in Fukui Prefecture. There's currently no info on if this kit will be sold online at a later date.
We've been wondering for a while what would happen with this high-detail transformer, and now we've got more info! There's a lot to cover, so let's get into the important info first: The figure is now up for pre-order for 38,500 Yen (about $268) retail with a release date of February 2026. You can view tons of photos on its official web page. As a Zoids x Transformers collaborative project, it can, of course, transform between Shield Liger Mode and Optimus Prime Mode.
This figure is 1/60 scale based on the pre-existing diaclone pilots, meaning it's about the same size as a 1/72 scale Shield Liger. It has all the same movable gimmicks you'd expect from a Shield Liger such as the back gun, canopy opening, missile pods deploying, etc. A bay installed to the belly of the Shield Liger can open up behind it, deploying a small motorcycle, the Road Viper. The Shield Liger head contains LEDs for the cockpit to light up as well as motorized chomping action, (click video on the page and skip to about 26 minutes in) a shout out to Takara Tomy's long history with motorized model kits.
When transformed into Optimus Prime Mode, some of the Shield Liger parts such as the tail and back segments can be converted into a Beam Cannon Mode. The additional cockpit on the Shield's back is a standard CRP type cockpit common to the Diaclone series, meaning it can be combined with other non-Zoids Diaclone figures.
Diaclone's 1/60 scale pilots, the Dia-nauts, have built in magnets in their feet that can attach to tiny square steel plates built into the Shield Liger. This allows you to pose them dramatically standing on the Shield Liger's head or on the back. The included FZ Ion Blaster gun can also be equipped to both forms, while the Shieldy's chest and tail gun can be combined into a single handheld weapon for Optimus Prime. For those who've seen the images and are wondering, no, the display stand is not included. There are some awesome video promos too, check them out below!
The box art for the HMM Molga Full Option Set has been revealed! This artwork is a nice counterpart for the Command Wolf box, which features another group of Zoids firing at an off-screen enemy.
Two new reissues have been announced for the HMM line, the Great Sabre MPV and the Shadow Fox MPV! Both are scheduled to release in December, with Great Sabre being released for 8,800 Yen and Shadow Fox for 5,940 Yen.
So yesterday was the Shizuoka Hobby Show, a large event that almost all of the key Zoids companies exhibit at. T-Spark held their own booth as well, and Hobby Japan Web reported on some of the event's Zoids contents. Among the products announced was the AZ-12 Geno Breaker! What we've already seen from the Geno's motorization is quite impressive. This big boi is scheduled to open for pre-orders this summer.
A new variant of Liger Zero is coming to the AZ line, the Liger Zero Empire! This tough-looking model looks surprisingly good in the Empire colors. Not much is known about how it's to be released yet, but AmiAmi has a few more photos.
Takara Tomy has published their official web page for the AZ-11 Command Wolf, featuring concept art and an in-depth look at features and as well as additional photos. It's quite interesting that the concepts were done using OJR colors. Like the old Tomy Command Wolf, the head position can swap it between two speeds, tracking mode and walking mode. The motor has a molded-in Zoid Core, but this time around, no LEDs. The wolf comes with an adaptor that allows you to install it on one of the Liger stands (specifically mentions the AZ-01 Blade Liger, but I think they all might work? Maybe?) The wolf doesn't come with a stand of its own. This kit is scheduled to release late December for 9,350 yen (tax included). Also be sure to check out its awesome promo video!
