The crowdfunding isn't the only momentus occasion! Zoids Wild released its first Fan Book on December 27th! You can purchase it here for 990 yen. So, what all is in it? The book contains profiles featuring images from earlier issues of CoroCoro, along with small fact files. Many of those profiles contain a tiny thumbnail of concept art for the Zoid as well. There are a couple custom examples.

 Aside from that, the book also contains a new chapter of Zoids Wild 2, featuring how Kai (as a child) first encountered the Beast Liger! It contains a second manga chapter, this time from Ueyama, telling the story of how Irvine met Tornado.

 The book also comes with a carrying case made out of thin plastic, which is large enough to fit a medium scale Zoid. This should be perfect for people who like to travel with a kit! A limited card of the Rising Liger is also included.

 The recent reissue of the Chaotic Century manga is now for sale on Amazon JP as an Ebook. Unfortunately, it seems you need to be a resident of Japan mostly to easily obtain this book. The book contains a large chunk of concept art (scroll through thread) for various characters, including quite a few pieces that have never been published before. Ueyama also drew some art of Jo and Sally.

 Zoids Wild 2 has released its first book! You can buy this on Amazon for 662 yen. There have also been a couple of teaser pages released on twitter.

    Chapter 3 of Zoids Generations is up! In this chapter Midori encounters a deadlier species of Bio Zoid, and is forced to reflect on the decisions shes made up until this point. I also went back and fixed the embarassing link issue of Chapter 2 linking to Chapter 1 instead, so if you missed out on that, you should be able to read it now!

    A grand total of 6 new sections have been added to Official Fan Book 1. This includes Planet Zi's history, the Zoids Directory (Helic, Zenebas, and Guylos Zoids stats), and a brief section on Zoids goods that were scheduled to be released around the time of the book. With these additions, Official Fan Book 1 has officially been completed! There'll be a short break between now and the beginning of Official Fan Book 2.

    Three sections have been added to the Official Fan Book page! This includes Neutral Zoids, The Scoop on the Zoids of the New Century!, the Zoids World Reference Room, and the What are the metal life forms from Planet Zi sections. It's interesting hearing about the development process of the NJR, and the latter sections go into detail about how Wild Zoids evolve, and how their natural biology affects the combat Zoids we know today.

    Official Fan Book 1 (in the Books section) has been updated! While we've concluded the main story there's still a lot of interesting information to digest regarding the Zoids themselves. Two sections were added today: The Guylos Empire Battle Machine Beast Corps and the Imperial Corps Military Chart. This covers a wide variety of information on early Guylos Empire Zoids, including stat and equipment lists, basic overviews, and specialized purposes.

    We've uploaded Chapter 2 of Zoids Generations to the books section! Complete with images. This time we start to investigate a mysterious lake monster. Please be aware that these translations are done using google translate, so there are bound to be mistakes, but we hope it can still serve to get the gist of what's going on in the story!

    A web comic, I Want To Play Bandai, has posted a chapter prominently featuring Zoids! Not just any Zoids, but many of them, from all different model kit lines. Masterpiece, NJR, Wild, etc.! This chapter features Zoids interacting with Sylvanian Families toys (small anthro animal figures.)

    There's been a rescan of the entire first Zoids Official Fan Book volume. This features cleaned up images which no longer suffer as much from over exposure bleaching away the details. Double page spreads have been patched and no longer show page gutters. Before, we also had pages chopped up into various smaller panels. While we still have separate smaller panels to keep the reading placement consistent, the main header image of each story section now shows the entire page, so you can see what it looks like as it was printed in the book. There are a couple minor exceptions, where the page was oddly proportioned in the book.

    We've also added the first wave of Zoid profiles, starting with the Side of the Republic. As normal, these profiles are approximated using Google Translate, so expect some errors, and take everything with a grain of salt. On that note, however, we've gone back and changed some details to what we feel are more accurate translations.

    Ueyama & CoroCoro have recently announced that the Chaotic Century manga will be reprinted in 3 large volumes! These volumes will include the original manga (not the EX doujins). There will also be extras including character sketches, additional stories, and some color images that were originally printed in CoroCoro during its original serialization. English fans may have seen quite a few of these color images in the form of cover art for the Viz release. The first of the three volumes will be released on July 12th. The other two release dates remain to be announced.

    Out of respect for the manga artist, who is my favorite Zoids manga artist, I've made the decision to remove the Chaotic Century manga from the website for the time being. I want comic sales to thrive as much as possible, and having the manga hosted here could be a detriment to that. I hope everyone will understand, and I apologize for any inconvenience it may cause. While yes, we do have other manga up, almost all of it is out of print, from magazines difficult to obtain overseas, or already provided by free (in the case of Zoids Wild.) Stores like CDJapan will likely carry the new Chaotic Century reprint, so I strongly encourage fans of the manga to pick up a copy!

    TakaraTomy has uploaded digital versions of the Book of Adventure, Volumes 1 ~ 3. You can now read them online! The Book of Adventure(s) are supplementary booklets that were given out as purchase benefits at certain stores, usually detailing current and upcoming Zoids with customization examples inside.

    Zoids Generations has received a very rough update, completing Chapter 1. These translations are rewritten from Google Translate, so expect some errors. The general gist should come across in most cases, and I hope it will still benefit some fans who aren't able to read the original book.

    In addition, the tense of Zoids Generations is a little unclear. While some parts are written in past tense, some parts make more sense from the active perspective of the character. This was difficult to pin down, but for the sake of consistency we've opted to just stick to the present tense. There may be cases where I accidentally switched back to past tense. Feel free to point out those (and any other) mistakes. The few scenes that intentionally use past tense are those describing what happened between scenes.

    Finally, there were some notable issues in the original translation we had posted. So everything in Chapter 1 that we had up before has been corrected to present tense and the mistakes hopefully fixed (for example, neglecting to say that Souga raises his head when he roars, which made the reprimand not make any sense.)

    The third volume of Zoid Wild's "Book of Adventure" was distributed in Japanese stores recently. This covers the current and upcoming model kits. Though we don't have more information on it at this time, you can probably find it on sites like Yahoo Japan and Mercari.

    The Zoids Books section has received a facelift. All thumbnails now use a unified template. The page also now shows books that we don't have extensive information on just yet. If we have no relevant information, the image will be faded. If we don't own the book at all, it'll be barely visible, but you can hover over these thumbnails to see the full opacity image. Though this section is vastly incomplete just yet, I plan to expand it to include a thumbnail gallery/list of all known Zoids books. We'll try to include at least a rudimentary page that includes page count, ISBN, original price, and Japanese name for easier searching.

    The Zoids Official Fan Book EX volumes 7 and 8 are finally posted! These are the final chapters of the battle story published in Zoids Official Fan Book EX. Its been a while since this was last updated, but hopefully the wait was worth it!

    Parts 7 and 8 have been added to the Zoids Bible book section. We're finally getting into the evolutionary history that bridges Wild Zoids and today's giant mechanical beasts. It also explains the first war between Helic and Guylos, which has some interesting twists.

    We've added parts 5 & 6 to the Zoids Bible book section. These chapters detail the biology of Ancient Zoidians, their mysterious past, and how the ZAC calender began. It also goes over the emerging tribes of the time and how each of them lived and interacted with Zoids, leading to potential conflicts between them. (Do you ever wake up and find that your fields were pillaged by molgas?)

    We've started posting translations of The Zoids Bible over in Zoids Books > Assorted Stories. A while ago Falcarius was nice enough to do translations for this story. We've formatted it to read how the pages do, with images mixed in as you go. We've also got complete scans posted at the bottom of each page. Since it's natural to scroll down, both clicking on the full scan and the navigation can take you to the next page.

    We'll be posting The Zoids Bible in three parts. Right now we've got pages 1 ~ 10, with the future updates being slightly larger in page count. It's a highly recommended series for anyone who likes the Zoids mythos.

    Moving on, we've uploaded the story section of Zoids Official Fan Book to the Books section. This includes a very rough translation, so please expect mistakes. For those who are curious as to what the books are like, though, it may give some insight~ We're still working on the profiles and such.
