- Military History

Roughly 2 Years Ago, Zoid Graveyard

When a large number of Bio Zoid corpses showed up near the capital, it raised alarms everywhere. Nervous of how close they had gotten, the city sent out Zoids and researchers to investigate how this came to be, and how these Bio Zoids had died without their forms collapsing. The Jin Squad, consisting of different members at the time escorted Seki, one of the student researchers into the site, where she claimed to be picking up the signal of Bio Zoids. In the torrential downpour they failed to see the flood of Bio Zoids heading their way.

Though they were prepared for a fight to the death, they soon realized that the Bio Zoids didn't actually want a fight, but were rather trying to escape, and that they were the obstacle in the road for them. Soon, the Bio Zoids, as well as their own Zoids began to stall. Unable to run, they could only watch as a much bigger beast came and began devouring the cores of the smaller Bios one at a time, knowing it would eventually reach them. When the lightning flashed, Jin's Rez Wolf was able to move for a brief moment. So, he and Seki formulated a plan to try and strike the Bio Spino, the cannibalistic beast, during lightning flashes. The Jin Squad approached with every flash, then all attacked at once, driving away the monstrous Bio.

Chapter 1, Start of a Journey

While he was staying in the country of Nakato, Jin received orders to go to Kageri Village and discuss the recent, chaotic events with its leader, Hakukuu. His first interaction with the village was fighting Midori and her Liger Blue. At first he was taken aback by the fact that the Liger's pilot was a girl and refused to fight, but when she insisted, he disabled the Liger, rather than trying to destroy it. After his discussion with Hakukuu, he received a letter to transport to a legendary blacksmith. Before he could set out on his journey, Midori revealed that she wanted to go. While he objected at first, as their journey was a dangerous one, Midori persisted, and he eventually relented.

Chapter 3, The Reaper

During a scouting mission, Ken and Midori became involved in a fierce battle between Bio Zoids and civilian Zoids. Though Jin was late to the scene, he arrived to find Souga pinned and being eaten alive by Bio Zoids, with Ken trying desperately to fight off the swarm. The Rez Wolf struck down some of its opponents, and after threatening the swarm with its Metal-Zi Sword, they reluctantly retreated.

Chapter 4, A Rival

Tsukamoto, a mercenary from the capital came to Jin's camp. Jin faced him head on, recognizing him as his adversary from the capital's yearly tournament. The match was interrupted by Raete, and went unfinished.

Chapter 5, A Warning

Jin sent Midori to deliver a letter to Veauregard, a Zoid Rancher, warning him that Bio Zoids were becoming more common and that he should consider hiring extra hands to guard the ranch. However, it was already too late. They were already there, and Midori and Veauregard had to fight the swarm. After this battle, Midori went further into the forest, following a road to a sacred temple. Knowing she was in danger, Jin sent word to Tobizaru to move ahead and protect her. He then escorted Seki to the same temple, confirming that she and Midori would have to confront their biggest threat and seal the Bio Zoids away once more.

Chapter 7, Battle of the Bio Spino

After they reached their destination, the volcano of the Tatara Highlands, the group fought a vicious battle against an army of Bio Zoids. This eventually landed them half way down the caldera, where they were surrounded on all sides. The enemies coming up from the bottom of the slope included a familiar face, however. The Bio Spino. Jin prioritized this Zoid above all else. He ordered Ken and Midori to guard Raete's injured Hebby Rhimos, then dashed for the enemy. His Rez Wolf took on a new form, becoming the Rez Tiger. Prepared after his previous battle against this Zoid, he waited until both his Zoid and the surrounding bios were immobilized by the enemy. Then, just as it was about to strike, he used an electrical discharge to disrupt the electromagnetic waves that otherwise would've paralyzed them. He lashed out, diverting the Bio Spino's jaws, then sank his Rez Tiger's fangs into its throat. With the enemy thrown to the ground, he drove Kadzuchi through the Bio Spino, killing it once and for all. Following the battle, the group was forced to retreat from the volcano and await reinforcements.

Chapter 8, The Final Battle

As the night waned on, Jin had one last talk with an old friend, Masakuni. He listened to stories about the seeming death of his father, Gishin, and the bravery he'd shown in the capital 10 years ago when Hiou, the Liger Red, had performed its sacred dance to ward off the Bio Zoids. Once dawn was upon them, he ordered Ayame to give the signal for the final fight to begin.

Every Zoid at their disposal charged down the slopes of the volcano, slashing every Bio that crossed their path. Jin led until he could lead no further, the path becoming lost to him in the fog. When Midori took the lead, however, Souga was stopped in his tracks by the Reaper. This old nemesis had returned, urged by Mother Bio, its creator, to kill the Shining Beast, Souga himself. In no time Souga's Gusoku Myoukou armor had been reduced to nothing. Realizing that the wing spikes doubled as missiles, Jin urged Midori to flee. When she was unable to escape in time, he transformed the Rez Wolf into the Rez Tiger and took the hit, saving Souga's life. The Liger was quick to repay him, taking up the Metal-Zi sword that it had dropped to rejoin the fight. While the Rez Tiger swung at the Reaper, who caught the attack with its claws, Souga drove his sword into the Zoid's body, defeating it once and for all.

Their fight was hardly over, however. Souga was caught off guard once more when Mother Bio burst out of the ground, nearly devouring the Liger whole. Though he escaped, Jin and Ken both joined the fight, occupying Mother Bio so that Midori and Souga could continue on to perform the sealing ritual. The Wolf transformed into the Rez Tiger once again, and though every Zoid of their unit was thrown back from the beast, each person got back up and charged right back into the fight. In moments Souga had returned, clad in the white armor Shiro Shouzoku, the Sparkling Beast transformed into the Sealing Sword of legend. The sword was driven into Mother Bio's jaws, and all three Zoids plunged into the fiery depths of the volcano. Though Souga was able to swim to safety with Midori and Seki safely stored inside, the Sparkling Beast disappeared to the depths alongside Mother Bio, where they'd remain.

With the battle at an end, Jin made it their mission to eliminate any remaining Bio Zoids, starting with the swarms still living in the caldera.

Rez Wolf

Jin's Zoid is the unusual Rez Wolf, a red Whitz Wolf sporting a custom Sword Drawing System that brings the Metal-Zi Sword, Kadzuchi, to its mouth. This name seems to be attached to Zoids carrying the sword, as it was also given to his father's Zoid, a Command Wolf with the same system. Nevertheless, Jin's Zoid is unique in Generations, being the only Zoid capable of instant transformation. For all intents and purposes, it "Evolts" in the same way that the Murasame Liger does, even if this ability is never specifically named in the book.
